This is Your Opportunity to Enable TTP Research

such as...
We will apply advanced imaging tools and evaluate blood markers in 20 TTP patients. Through this study, we will have a better understanding of the disease burden and its structural impact on the heart and the brain.

Participate

The TTP Community is a small and geographically dispersed population. International TTP Day is designed to enable everyone to help improve the prognosis for all TTP patients. In previous years this event was organized as a walk. This year we are trying something new to ensure everyone feels that they can participate. You can walk any distance, for 2 hours anywhere in the world, OR *NEW OPTION*, you can fundraise another way. This is your opportunity to be the change. Challenge yourself, organize an event or sell something. Everyone can contribute. Click here now!

Please download the participant instructions and read carefully. Also, check out the Tips and Tricks document to help you plan your best walk ever! Share the walk poster electronically or print and hand out to help raise awareness.

Connect with other participants.  To be connected with other participants in your area, please email Events@AnsweringTTP.org by September 10, 2018. You must have already registered for the event to be connected.

What is TTP?

A TTP, Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, diagnosis is scary and complex. Many patients have never heard of this 3 letter acronym before, nor have they any idea as to its ramifications. TTP is a medical emergency causing small blood clots and potentially fatal complications. Early diagnosis is key to survival. TTP can strike anyone, at any stage of life. Three in one million people are diagnosed each year. Symptoms include: fatigue, fever, diarrhea, chest pain, bleeding, dark urine, confusion, headaches, visual changes, bruising, purpura, petechiae.

Research is Hope. Awareness is Low. Early Diagnosis is Key.
